FOR EVERYONE!
Attention Congregation! Don’t forget to set your clocks
ahead one hour next Sunday as Daylight Savings Time
begins on March 14.
Reminder to Insight Youth & Parents! Please fill out
the survey mailed to your house about Youth Ministry
at FRC and return to Nikki’s mailbox by next Sunday,

The congregation is invited to an Open House next
Saturday, March 13th, from 1:30 – 3:30 PM in the Church
Fellowship Hall for the 80th Birthday of Arline Lammers.
The Administrative Consistory is calling for a brief
congregational meeting at the conclusion of our first am
service (approximately 10 am) next Sunday, March 14th.
The purpose of the meeting is to confirm Chris Arnold,
Justin Van Ess, Bruce Fischer and Grant Markus as
Pastoral Care Deacons. The reason for adding some
PCD’s is that the number we are currently working with
needs to be increased to spread out the workload. This is
the only item on the agenda and the meeting will be brief.
We thank you in advance for planning to attend.
Trinidad Meal Share – Next Sunday, March 14th, we will
be serving the Meal Share at Iglesia Trinidad Church in
Milwaukee. Food and cash donations are needed and
greatly appreciated. If you would like to come along to
serve the meal and worship with the people of Trinidad or
to sign up for donations, come to the Women’s Ministry
Booth or contact Cindy at 564-3150.
Trinidad’s Morning Glory – How can you help? Pick up
a needs list at the Women’s Ministry Booth. Any
questions call Cindy Hoitink at 564-3150.
Planning for our youth – We value the youth of our
church, and we are committed to building a sustainable
youth ministry that is going to have a deep impact. That’s
why we are developing a game plan together. We have
invited Youth Ministry Architects to visit us on March 17-
19th (Learn more about them at www.ymarchitects.com.)
YMA will spend the majority of their time listening to a
variety of groups within the church through focused
listening groups. We hope to see participation in those
groups from a broad spectrum of parents, volunteers,
youth and people who just love our youth. We want your
insights, your frustrations and your dreams to be heard.
After spending 2 days in these listening groups, the YMA
team will hunker down to write a report, sharing with us
what they’ve heard about the youth programs – including
assets, challenges, and how we compare to youth
ministries around the country – and where it seems that
God might be taking us next. Their report will be
presented to the consistory, laying out specific
recommendations and a blueprint for how to move
forward. We would like you to be part of this process and
hear your voice. Please contact the church office to
register your interest, and we will announce the actual
times and lists of groups that will meet in next weeks
bulletin. It is our prayer that we will not only learn about
our church’s youth program, but the community as well.
The team will also be meeting with the area pastors to
explore possibilities of a community based youth ministry.
Please pray for them and us as we seek to minister as
effectively as we can to the young people of our
community.
NOTE: Next Sunday evening, March 7th, Rev. Bob James
of “Hope Crossings” will be bringing the evening message.
Ex-Muslim and former member of the Palestine Liberation
Organization Walid Shoebat will speak at First Reformed

Last week the kids learned that Jesus teaches us how to
be friends with the verse, Luke 6:31—“Do to others as
you would have them do to you.” This week the kids are
being reminded that God can help you live what you
believe with the verse Matthew 5:16, “In the same way,
let your light shine before men, that they ay see your good
deeds and praise your Father in heaven. We encourage
families to learn this new verse and shine together for
Him!
