YOUTH MINISTRY
INSIGHT: Students in grades 9-12 are welcome to be a part of "Insight." Insight is a relational ministry made up of two components: Impact Groups (6-12 students of the same gender and age) which meet on a weekly basis and Large Group, which meets 2-3 times a month. Both are designed to enhance the relationships students have with Christ, with family, and with others. In these events, students are challenged from Godís Word, experience community, and encourage each other to grow spiritually. Our activities are designed to promote an inviting atmosphere for all students to feel welcome, especially friends! We frequently offer optional events such as concerts, scavenger hunts, and retreats. Every Monday night we also offer an optional Bible Study where students can look deeper into Godís Word and then hang out watching Monday Night Football.

We plan and lead worship services several times a year, and many of our students participate regularly in choir, praise teams, drama and video/sound. Each year we offer a mission trip opportunity to allow our students to experience different kinds of ministry. For many of our students, these trips are the highlight of their summer and a major part of their faith story. Each part of our ministry is designed to do one thing: to help high school students develop an authentic, growing relationship with Jesus Christ so they in turn can help others do the same!

FRIENDS IN CHRIST: All 7th and 8th grade students are invited to be a part of "Friends in Christ." Similar to "Insight," this ministry has a relational focus. Students are encouraged first to be friends with Christ and then bring their friends to Christ. We meet about twice a month, once at Church with games, food, and some Biblical teaching, and once on some kind of fun outing (tubing, laser tag, lock-ins, etc.) The intent of this ministry is to help Jr. High students understand that having a friendship with Jesus Christ is the most relationship they can have.

CHURCH CAMP: Camp Manitoqua is located in Frankfort, Illinois and offers tent or cabin camping experiences for Jr. High students, and a special program just for High School students. The S.A.M.S. program allows high school students to be at camp for two weeks serving as support to the counselor staff as well as special opportunities throughout the two-week camp.

SUNDAY SCHOOL: There are classes for all age groups. They meet each Sunday morning from September through May at 10:10 AM and focus on creatively communicating biblical principles with age-appropriate discussion.

BIBLE CLASS: All students in grades 7-8 are encouraged to attend. Classes meet from September through April on Wednesdays in order to increase biblical knowledge, and meet at 6:45 PM.

1 Timothy 4:12: Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
